The Songkran celebrations aims to attract both residents and tourists to experience the Thai cultural atmosphere in the Kowloon City area.
The Kowloon City District Resident Association said as part of the celebrations, the event will feature a Thai-themed market, Muay Thai performances, electronic dance music and water-splashing experiences, as well as traditional Thai song and dance performances.
Last year, the Songkran festival's water-splashing portion in Hong Kong's “Little Thailand” was moved for the first time from its traditional site to basketball courts in Kowloon City.
