In-town check-in on Airport Express to cover Qantas Airways

Passengers traveling with Australia's Qantas Airways will be able to enjoy the In-town Check-in service on the Airport Express line starting Monday (Feb 10).

Qantas passengers can check in and drop off their baggage at either Hong Kong Station or Kowloon Station during designated service hours, the MTR Corporation announced.

The service applies from 24 hours to at least 90 minutes before the scheduled departure of the flight. The service hours for the Qantas airline at the Hong Kong station will be from 7am to 6pm, while the service hours at the Kowloon station will be from 7am to 3pm.

With the addition of the Qantas airline, three airlines will provide In-town Check-in service on the Airport Express line, alongside Cathay Pacific and Hong Kong Airlines. 

MTR stated that it has been in contact with the aviation industry and hopes that more airlines will join the check-in service to make traveling easier for passengers.
