Among the new community living rooms, two -- located in Shau Kei Wan and Kowloon City -- have already received funding from the Community Care Fund.
Lee said that these projects are expected to be operational by mid-year.
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Lee also revealed that the first batch of light public housing units on Yau Pok Road in Yuen Long will be ready for intake in the first quarter of this year.
Also, the government plans to launch the second round of light public housing applications soon.
During a visit to the community living room in Hung Hom on Saturday, Lee, accompanied by Secretary for Housing Winnie Ho Wing-yin and Secretary for Labour and Welfare Chris Sun Yuk-han, prepared a meal for grassroots families alongside culinary students.
“Some grassroots families shared that the community living room provides them with another ‘home,’ complete with a shared kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom, in addition to community support services for students,” Lee said.
“[The community living room] not only enhances the families’ living quality but also expands their social networks,” he added.
Lee also encouraged families to apply for the government’s light public housing units.
