A traffic accident on Repulse Bay Road left traffic backed up for miles to and from Stanley early afternoon. No injuries have been reported.

A taxi was apparently traveling from Stanley along the stretch of road leading to the beach when it veered onto the opposite side of the road and crashed into the railings.
The accident occurred around 3pm bringing traffic to a near standstill with delays of up to 45 minutes.
Police arrived to control traffic and ease congestion.
