Hong Kong’s national security police on Tuesday added six more individuals to the wanted list, accusing them of betraying the country and harming the interests of the people of Hong Kong. Police have placed a HK$1 million bounty on each of them.
They include political commentator Chung Kim-wah, 64, and 62-year-old Joseph Tay, former artist and founder of Canada-based NGO Hongkonger Station, which claims to provide uncensored information.
The remaining four are Tony Chung Hon-lam, 23, former convenor of Studentlocalism, Carmen Lau Ka-man, 29, a former district councillor and now an advocacy associate at the Hong Kong Democracy Council, 69-year-old YouTuber Victor Ho Leung-mau, and 19-year-old Chloe Cheung Hei-ching from the Committee for Freedom in Hong Kong Foundation.
Police have already put HK$1 million bounties on 13 fugitives accused of violating the national security law, including by calling for international sanctions against Hong Kong.
With the six new additions, the wanted list now has 19 opposition figures.
