The court heard previously that the elder Chim, 78, was a major shareholder of listed company Asia Resources while his son Chim Kim-lun, 55, was the chairman of it.
Between July 2013 and November 2015, the pair was said to have conspired with a merchant to defraud Asia Resources, its board of directors and shareholders.
An associate of the merchant, Wong Poe-lai, 68, who was charged in the same case with dealing with crime proceeds of HK$42 million, was found guilty of money laundering.
The trio will be remanded until their next court appearance on January 8 for mitigation and sentence.
