The magazine, founded in December 2005, axed its print version in September last year. The magazine described the move back then as a necessary step to adapt to market developments and achieve the group's digitalization strategy.
The company continued posting content and information on its social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LINE and Weibo.
It is understood that the company held an internal meeting today, with the management clarifying that the magazine will continue to operate after a team reshuffling.
Yet, its deputy editor wrote in a social media post in the afternoon that there will be no team reshuffling, with all 32 employees of U Magazine to be laid off.
