A feast of gastronomy
The Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is organizing the ‘International Cities of Gastronomy Fest Macao’ from June 14-23, 2024. This large-scale gastronomic event showcases Macao’s unique culinary culture and its venerable status as a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy. Drawing epicurean enthusiasts from 6 continents and 19 countries, the event celebrates the vibrant flavors of 30 distinguished UCCN gastronomy cities across the globe.
The festival will feature several key attractions, including the ‘International Gastronomy Promenade,’ ‘City of Gastronomy Showcase,’ and ‘International Gastronomy Forum.’
The ‘International Gastronomy Promenade’ will host around 100 food stalls, as well as a dining area, game zone, waterfront bar, and scheduled performances for visitors to unwind and enjoy themselves.
Visitors are in for a mouth-watering treat as renowned chefs from diverse cities have been invited to the ‘City of Gastronomy Showcase’ to conduct culinary demonstrations, sharing their culinary skills and gastronomic traditions. Make sure you’re there to catch the alluring aroma and taste the delicacies.
On June 17, distinguished representatives and F&B professionals will gather at the ‘International Gastronomy Forum’ for in-depth discussions on potential cross-sector collaborations in the gastronomy field.
MGTO has thoughtfully arranged for free shuttle buses for visitors from 3:30 pm to 10:30 pm during the event!

A mesmerizing festival of lotus flowers
Prepare to be enchanted by the 24th Macao Lotus Flower Festival, taking place in Avenida da Praia, Tapia, from June 14-23.
In celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Festival follows the theme of ‘Lotus Flowers in the Era of Prosperity for Double Celebration’.
Organized by the Municipal Affairs Bureau, the exhibition features three distinct areas, each offering a unique perspective on the lotus’ cultural significance, from the ‘blessed land of lotus flowers’ to the ‘aroma of lotus flowers carried by mist across China’ and ‘magnificent scenery of the motherland’.
Elsewhere throughout the Festival, you can immerse yourself in the breathtaking display of over 5,000 potted lotus flowers adorning the city’s streets, parks, and tourist hotspots. It’s a spectacle to behold!
What’s more, try to venture to the nearby lotus wetland, where a 1,100-meter-long bank offers a mesmerizing view of the lotus pond, and learn about the fascinating flora and fauna there. Complementing the floral extravaganza are a diverse array of lotus-themed activities, from drawing competitions and eco-tours to culinary workshops and plant-growing sessions!

Jump into the world of wuxia legends
‘Shooting a white deer, snow flutters around the skies. From April 30 to July 30, you will be able to step into the captivating world of traditional Chinese martial arts and chivalry at the Jin Yong Wuxia Drama Costumes and Weapons Exhibition at Barra, Macao, organized by MGM in collaboration with TVB.
Prepare to re-live the exhilarating adventures of your favorite heroes and heroines as you explore the iconic scenes from eight renowned Jin Yong TV dramas, including Book and Sword, Crimson Sabre, The Flying Fox Of The Snowy Mountain, The Condor Heroes, and more. Over 20 meticulously curated costumes and props, rich in historical, cultural, and artistic value are also on display for your cherished selfies.
