The Tourism Board cooperated with tourism sectors to launch outdoor sports tour for the first time, attracting more than 200 Korean visitors to participate.
The "HK Great Outdoors Festival" tours last two weeks and cover different activities such as hiking, night running, and outdoor yoga. Participants can flexibly arrange their schedules in Hong Kong with the designated events.
One of the highlights is the countryside tour, in which tourists will hike at Shek O Dragon's Back.
In one of the three-day and two-night tours, about 50 participants experienced urban yoga at the observation deck of the Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday and enjoyed a night run along the Island North promenade.
The Tourism Board is planning to organize more outdoor exploration events for tourists this autumn and is seeking to include new hiking routes as the outdoor tours received an overwhelming response.
It will actively explore and develop tourism in other districts with special themes, such as inviting Thailand tourists to experience the "worship-themed" tours.
