Sedan ignites after crashing in Tuen Mun, injuring two

Two were injured after the driver crashed and lost control of his car in Tuen Mun on Monday afternoon.

Around 3 pm today, a blue sedan crashed into a stone barrier near Siu Lam when it was heading toward Kowloon via the Tuen Mun Road.

The front of the sedan began to catch fire, and the two people managed to escape the vehicle on their own. 

Firefighters deployed a water jet to extinguish the fire swiftly.

The male driver and the female passenger suffered discomfort in their necks and hands, and both were sent to the hospital for medical attention.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
