Man ambushed by knife-wielding attacker and hospitalized

A 30-year-old man was sent to hospital after he was ambushed and knifed in a Tsz Wan Shan car park on Monday night. No arrests have been made so far. 

The incident occurred around 8 pm last night after the man surnamed Lam parked his Tesla and was about to take the stairs on the second floor of car park no.2 in Tsz Ching Estate. 

An attacker suddenly jumped on Lam and started wielding his 30cm-long knife, slashing and injuring both of Lam’s arms. Lam then escaped to the first floor and reported to the police as the attacker boarded a getaway van to flee the scene. 

Paramedics later arrived and treated Lam on scene. Lam was then sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. 

The floor and the stairs were stained by Lam’s blood and police cordoned off the area as well as Lam’s car to investigate. 

The case was listed as wounding and is now being handled by the Wong Tai Sin district criminal investigation team. 

Police are now hunting the male attacker aged about 30, who was wearing a mask, a dark top and dark pants. 

It is understood that Lam is a director of a money-lending company. Lam said he doesn’t know the attacker and denied any knowledge of owing people money or grudges harbored by others.
