Woman taken back to Tai Po village to reconstruct suspected murder crime scene

A woman was brought back to her house at Chai Kek Village of Tai Po - the scene of a suspected murder to reconstruct the crime. 

The murder case was unveiled after a 25-year-old man failed to get ahold of his uncle, who lived at the Tai Po home, and opted to head to his house in Chai Kek Village at around 11 pm on Saturday (Dec 9). 

His aunt - the woman arrested in the case - initially refused to open the door. His uncle, 62, was later found dead in the house after police were called to the scene. 

The woman Law, 52, was arrested on suspicion of murder by the police force. 

Wearing checkered pants and white shoes, the hooded and chained Law was brought back to the scene by police officers at around 1 pm today. Officers from the Identification Bureau were also at the scene to assist with the investigation. 

The reconstruction, which was videotaped, saw officers using a white plastic board to simulate a mattress, as well as mannequins to help them understand the crime scene. 

According to the preliminary investigation, Law was suspected of crushing the victim with a mattress and the bed frame after her husband accidentally fell when adjusting the bed frame. 

The couple had a 13-year-old son, who was away during the suspected murder.
