The murder case was unveiled after a 25-year-old man couldn't contact his uncle, who lived in Tai Po, recently and opted to head to his house in Chai Kek Village at around 11 pm yesterday (Dec 9).
His aunt refused to open the door, which devolved into a dispute.
The nephew then contacted the police, and they entered the house and found that a 62-year-old man was found dead in the house.
The victim's 53-year-old wife, surnamed Law, was arrested on suspicion of murder.
According to the preliminary investigation, Law was suspected of pressing the victim with a mattress platform and a mattress after the deceased accidentally fell when adjusting the bed frame.
It is understood that the victim's nephew was suspicious due to the cleanliness of the apartment, as the victim has the habit of smoking and drinking, and the cleanliness did not seem like his uncle was living in the apartment.
Chung and Law had a 13-year-old son, who was not at the house when the crime was exposed.
