The incident occurred at the betting station located on Tai Loong Street around 12.43 pm today.
The man produced a lottery ticket he had bought on Thursday and asked for a refund but was rejected.
Feeling discontent, the man then grabbed a chair and slammed it at a 42-inch TV screen – worth about HK$4,000 – to vent his anger, spurring staffers to report him to the police immediately.
Police later arrived and arrested the 35-year-old jobless man surnamed Wong after investigation.
