One dead, two injured after minivan crashes into double-decker bus in Tsing Yi

One passenger and two drivers were injured when a minivan crashed into a KMB double-decker head-on in Tsing Yi on Wednesday.

The accident happened at about 11 am when the minivan was traveling along Ching Hong Road. The minivan was said to have plowed head-on into a number 43 bus in the opposite lane after the vehicle had crashed and jumped the curb.

The male passenger in the minivan was seriously injured and unconscious when rescued from the wreck. He was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital, where he was declared dead after failed resuscitation attempts.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were also sent to hospital for treatment.
