Teen airlifted to hospital after drowning in Sai Kung dead

A teenage boy airlifted to the hospital after drowning in Sai Kung sadly passed away on Monday evening.

At around 3 pm today, a 19-year-old teen drowned in Sheung Luk's Four Pools in Sai Kung.

Passersby who witnessed the incident rescued the teen and called the police for assistance.

The paramedics arrived and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the unconscious teen.

The Government Flying Services were then deployed to airlift the victim to the Eastern Hospital for medical attention. The boy was certified dead at around 5 pm.
