Issues of inconvenient transport systems and inadequate port facilities disappointed passengers after a cruise ship parked at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Sunday morning.
The Resorts World One cruise ship, which used Hong Kong as a home port, arrived today after cruising Taiwan and will stay at the Terminal for seven hours.
Passengers who wanted to take advantage of the time to visit Hong Kong had to wait for at least 30 minutes for a taxi.
One of the travelers, surnamed Lu, said it was troublesome as the Terminal lacked taxi frequency and took him about 40 minutes for one.
Another passenger, Alexander, stated that Hong Kong was known as a convenient city but did not expect to run into such an issue where they could not find any information that showed them where to go and had an inadequate transport network.
He added that he had to walk a long path and still could not find restaurants and cafes nearby. He was also disappointed that the cruise terminal had no other entertainment facilities.
