Three Hongkongers arrested in Macau for trafficking HK$100,000 worth of drugs

Three Hongkongers, including two youngsters aged 17 and 19, were arrested in Macau over a drug trafficking case in which about HK$100,000 of drugs were seized by police there. 

Macau police first targeted and arrested one of the teenagers in New Port on Wednesday night. Officers later seized 32.6 g of ketamine, 3.3 g of “ice” drug, 7.3 g of cocaine, and 3.8 g of an unknown powder in the teen's hotel room. 

The drugs were worth some HK$100,000, and the teenager told Macau police he would get paid HK$2,000 a day for trafficking the drugs from Hong Kong into the casino city. 

During investigations, Macau police arrested another teenager and a 58-year-old truck driver in the early hours today (Thu). 

The second arrested teenager admitted he would get paid HK$7,000 a day for the drug trafficking activities, but the truck driver refused to cooperate with the police. 

Macau police believed the trio belonged to the same crime ring, and their drug trafficking activities have been operating for at least a month. 

Police added an investigation is ongoing, and the case will be referred to the prosecution office of Macau.
