The aunt of the girl Siu Yik-tung announced the good news on Facebook in the early hours on Saturday and posted a photo of Siu sitting on a wheelchair and hugging a relative.
The aunt expressed sincere gratitude towards citizens for their care and support. She added it is an emotional roller coaster ride for Siu as well as for the family as they finally can bring Siu home after exactly a month.
“I am now feeling much better, even the doctors are surprised by my speed recovery. You all need not to worry about me,” the aunt cited Siu telling caring citizens to rest easy about her health.
The aunt continued that Siu's organs have recovered and are functioning again, but the nerves for her legs will take more time to recover and she will be wheelchair-bound until her muscles gain strength again.
