The site is located on Ma Sik Road, Fanling, occupying an area of approximately 3.5 hectares. The land leveling work was previously completed, with road connections, water, electricity, and gas supply also in place.
Following the loan, the government has promptly begun the construction work on new community isolation treatment facilities, the developer said.
The group hoped the latest act could help relieve the mounting pressure of Hong Kong's public healthcare system as the demand for hospitalization and isolation facilities keeps climbing drastically.
Chief executive officer Adrian Cheng Chi-kong said his company will continue to closely monitor the community's needs, and they will do their best to provide the most essential support and care to those in need.
Apart from loaning lands to the government for free, the group had offered their support to the community before by donating supplies and rapid testing kits to the public and making 700 rooms at PentaHotel Hong Kong Kowloon for community isolation.
"The group is currently actively exploring other feasible measures to support the community in fighting against the virus and will make further announcements in due course," it said in a statement.
