Controversial fountain reopens after a scrub

The controversial HK$50 million Kwun Tong musical fountain where a comedian took a shower before its closure for a scrub, has reopened. 

The Leisure and Cultural Services Department, announced its reopening today.

Comic Wong Kar-wai of online media news and entertainment platform 100 Most, had mocked the the public project's cost, while enjoying a bubble bath. Following the stunt, the LSCD closed it citing, “contamination with liquid water soap.''

The LCSD once again appealed to people today “to exercise civic-mindedness when using facilities at pleasure grounds. A person shall not obstruct nor annoy any other person. The LCSD will continue to step up patrols at the venue to ensure normal operation of the facilities and and the venue's suitability for public use.''
