Expo site to be reopened for virus patients

Community treatment facilities at AsiaWorld-Expo would be reopened on Wednesday for confirmed coronavirus patients with mild symptoms, now that infections have rebounded in Hong Kong.

The Hospital Authority has used the AsiaWorld-Expo facility since Augus 1 this year.

After the epidemic slowed down earlier, the facility was kept on standby from September 18.

The facility has 900 beds and can be reactivated within 72 hours.
