Hong Kong has recorded no local infections for a second day, with only five diagnosed patients who were returnees to the city.
The Centre for Health Protection said as of 12:00am today, it has recorded five additional confirmed coronavirus cases – all imported – bringing the tally to 5,309 cases, including one probable case.
Among the five imported cases, four are from India, including a 3-year-old boy, a 32-year-old man, a 30-year-old domestic worker, and a 32-year-old woman. The remaining patient is from France.
Health officials urged the public to avoid going out, having social contact and dining out, and maintain strict personal and environmental hygiene at all times.
Yesterday, Hong Kong reported eight imported cases with no local infections.
So far, a total of 5,053 patients with the confirmed or probable infection have been discharged, while 116 confirmed patients are currently hospitalized, in which 11 of them are critical.
