Jimmy Sham says government can decide definition of 'secession'

Civil Human Rights Front convener and district councilor, Jimmy Sham Tsz-kit, said today the government can decide the definition of "secession" under the new national security law and worries that it can make a law to harm Hong Kong people.

He said in the past half year, the anti-mask law and social distancing measures that were not passed by the Legislative Council have done harm to Hong Kong and deal a blow to people who voice out, adding that the laws are ambiguous and become tools for police abuse.

Sham described the new national security law as a "nuclear bomb" dropped by the Communist Party of China to destroy Hong Kong's economy.
