Secretary for Food and Health Sophia Chan Siu-chee said today the requirement for restaurants to not exceed 50 percent of normal seating capacity will be lifted after Thursday.
But other requirements have been extended from Friday until May 7. They include tables 1.5 meters apart or effectively partitioned, no more than four people each table, must wear mask except when eating or drinking, screen body temperature and provide hand sanitizer.
Bars, amusement game centers, bathhouses, fitness centers, nightclubs, “party rooms,” beauty, massage, karaoke and mahjong-tin kau parlors closures are also extended until May 7.
Offenders are subject to a maximum fine of HK$50,000 and imprisonment for six months.
