The city's largest teachers' group said today the police have issued a letter of no objection to their rally against the "white terror" created by the government at the Edinburgh Place in Central between 7:00pm and 9:00pm tomorrow.

The Hong Kong Professional Teachers' Union said in the past half-year, the government and pro-establishment figures have repeatedly attacked the education sector and front line teachers, blaming them for the failure of Liberal Studies and inciting young people to take to the streets.
The group said the Education Bureau has also escalated the pressure recently and that the Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung Yun-hung told mainland state media that principals who support teachers under investigation could be disqualified.
