Tencent Cloud, a subsidiary of Tencent (0700), has announced plans to establish its first data center in Saudi Arabia, located in the center of the Middle East.

In aligning with local industry innovation needs, the company will invest over US$150 million (HK$1.17 billion) in the region over the next few years. The investment will be directed toward infrastructure, resources, alongside related initiatives to drive digital economic innovation in the Middle East.
The investment aims to further strengthen local digital infrastructure, resource integration and other related developments to accelerate digital transformation and economic innovation in the region.
