Hong Kong stocks gain

Hong Kong stocks ended higher today. The Hang Seng Index ganed by 129.80 points at 29,071.34.

The biggest loser among blue chips was Geely Automobile (0175), whose shares fell by 3.95 percent at HK$20.65.

Smartphone maker Xiaomi (1810) fell by 3.8 percent at HK$25.3, after mainland media reported its domestic rival OPPO is planning to make electric cars.

Mainland sportswear firm Anta Sports (2020) added 4.04 percent to HK$141.7, the biggest gainer among blue-chip stocks.

Cathay Pacific Airways (0293) fell by 1.69 percent at HK$6.98 after local media reported it will start a voluntary redundancy program.
