Hong Kong stocks hold gains on Wednesday midday trading

The Hong Kong market stays firmer at midday on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index was up 0.76 percent, or 197 points, to 26,069 points.

Half-day market turnover is at HK$134 billion.

Hang Seng Tech Index rose 0.83 percent to 4,943 points.

In the mainland, Shanghai Stock Exchange Composite Index increased by 0.37 percent, or 14 points, to 4,041 points. But the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Component Index fell 0.25 percent to 14,603 points.
