Investment bank Goldman Sachs suspended all trading of its Hang Seng Index callable bull/bear contracts as some shares such as China Mobile (0941) and CNOOC (0883), which are being sanctioned by the US, are HSI constituents, local media reported.

An analyst said that China Mobile (0941) and CNOOC (0883) are on the US sanctions list and also HSI constituents. In the most extreme case, foreign funds have to sell all shares related to HSI and passive index funds.
