A retrospective exhibition of world-renowned Korean artist Kim Jung Gi will kick off on Thursday at the Hong Kong Arts Centre, marking the first showcase of his large-scale original works in the city.
Titled “Kim Jung Gi: A Journey to Endless Lines,” the exhibition traces the creative journey of the comic and illustration artist, from his early career to his internationally acclaimed live drawing demonstrations.
The exhibition features more than 200 works, including original comics, illustrations, sketches, and cross-disciplinary collaborative pieces.
Kim gained global recognition for his large-scale live drawing performances, and this exhibition is dedicated to showcasing his artistic universe, which reflects freedom, boldness, and a distinct creative vision.
On Saturday (Aug 16), Hyunjin Ki, an important partner for the late artist, will share insights into Kim’s path to global success. Online registration is required.
Visitors can enjoy live drawing performances from Thursday to Friday, with public tours conducted in Cantonese and English starting Saturday through the exhibition’s closing date on August 31.
