Microsoft has assessed the susceptibility of various jobs to be replaced by artificial intelligence (AI) in a recent study, including translators, historians as well as passenger attendants.
The findings categorize jobs based on their resilience via three key factors, including the current use of AI in the occupation, the effectiveness of AI in performing those tasks, and the extent to which the work can be automated.
The analysis highlights a trend where jobs that involve language—both written and spoken—as well as roles in customer service are among those most vulnerable to AI advancement.
Conversely, specialized physical labor and equipment operation positions appear to be at a lower risk of replacement.
