Kidnap and murder of Filipino-Chinese 'Steel King' ordered by his own son, suspect says

One of the suspects in the abduction and murder of Anson Que - a Filipino-Chinese businessman known as the "Steel King" - and his driver has said that Que’s son is the mastermind behind the act.

According to a 24 Oras report by Saleema Refran on Tuesday, Que's 42-year-old son ,Ronxian Gou or Alvin Que, was one of the six names recommended for preliminary investigation by the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group to the Department of Justice (DOJ) on April 19.

Initial investigation showed that Alvin served as the negotiator for the family while Que was detained by the kidnappers. He was also the person who paid the initial P10 million ransom to a cryptocurrency account on March 31, and an additional P3 million to the same account on April 2.

Tan and his driver were found dead days later on April 9.
