FWD Hong Kong, the subsidiary of insurer FWD Group (1828) backed by billionaire Richard Li Tzar-kai, has signed a ten-year lease with Swire Properties (1972) to expand its office space in Taikoo Place in Quarry Bay, marking the biggest lease deal this year in Hong Kong.
Also, Devon House will be officially renamed “FWD Tower” on January 1, 2026, serving as FWD’s Hong Kong headquarters.
Since entering Taikoo Place in 2014, FWD has leased a total of nearly 330,000 square feet of office space, becoming the largest tenant in the building.
The lease highlighted Taikoo Place’s strength as a premier business destination for top-tier enterprises, said Tim Blackburn, chief executive of Swire Properties.
With the recent completion of the Taikoo Place redevelopment, Swire Properties will continue to optimize and expand its core portfolio of assets in Taikoo Place, he added.
The insurer noted that this collaboration further strengthens the long-term partnership between the two parties, demonstrating its firm confidence and commitment to the future development of Hong Kong.
