Payback time as super Gaethje lands big kick

Justin Gaethje knocked out Dustin Poirier with a head kick one minute into the second round to win the lightweight main event at UFC 291 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Gaethje celebrated by climbing atop the octagon fence and doing a backflip off it after a perfect headshot avenged a loss to Poirier in 2018 when he suffered a fourth-round technical knockout.

It was Gaethje's 20th win by knockout or TKO and seventh in his last nine fights, and with it he claimed a BMF belt - the second UFC fighter to gain such an award.
