Australian man charged with indecent assault on Hong Kong-bound flight

An Australian man has been charged with indecent assault after allegedly indecently assaulting a woman on a Hong Kong-bound flight earlier this week.

The defendant, identified as Andrews Daniel Peter, appeared at West Kowloon Magistrates’ Courts on Friday (Feb 20) for his first hearing. He was not required to enter a plea.

Magistrate Amy Chan Wai-mun adjourned the case to April 2 to allow the prosecution to seek legal advice. The defendant did not apply for bail and was remanded in custody.

According to the charge, the incident took place on February 17 aboard Cathay Pacific flight CX150, which was traveling from Brisbane to Hong Kong. The man is accused of indecently assaulting a woman, referred to as X, while the aircraft was outside Hong Kong’s airspace.
