CES, one of the world’s premier technology and innovation events, draws over 180,000 professional buyers and industry experts each year.
Hong Kong has dispatched its largest-ever innovation and technology delegation, comprising 61 enterprises, to participate in this year's exhibition.
Michael Folk, head of a Las Vegas-based smart home company, is working to develop a centralized system enabling customers to build smart homes without depending on cloud services, thereby protecting personal privacy.
He pointed out that Xeroptix Technology Limited aligns with this goal through its domestic AI systems designed to prioritize privacy concerns.

Folk indicated his company is looking for locally processed AI cameras and has particular interest in Xeroptix’s offerings, with final purchase quantities to be determined through further discussions.
He praised Hong Kong’s rapid technological progress, especially in AI tools that are setting global trends.
The innovative product from Xeroptix enables users to train the AI and customize alert systems.
For instance, a concerned parent can upload a photo to create a designated safety zone at home.
Once the AI recognizes the environment, the model is downloaded to the camera, allowing for offline functionality.
If the child leaves the safety zone, an alert is triggered to notify the parent.
Hon, Xeroptix’s representative, stated that overseas clients prioritize privacy, and their system requires only a single upload of a photo to train the AI, enhancing security.
Attending CES for the first time, Hon said the event has surpassed expectations, crediting support from the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation for facilitating connections with global clients.
