The Transport Department (TD) stated that the car park on Tong Yin Street includes 249 spaces for private cars—comprising 225 automated puzzle-stacking spaces and 24 conventional ones.
It also provides spaces for 25 motorcycles, 10 light goods vehicles, 10 light buses, 15 buses or coaches, and 79 medium or heavy goods vehicles.
Conventional and lower-level APS spaces for private cars, as well as spaces for motorcycles and light goods vehicles, are equipped with fee-paying electric vehicle charging facilities.
To enhance user experience, the facility incorporates smart equipment such as an access control system, automatic license plate recognition barriers, and a parking bay information system.
Multiple payment methods are supported, and motorists can check real-time vacancy information via the Transport Department's HKeMobility mobile app.
The TD spokesman added that the government will continue adopting various measures, including integrating car parks into suitable government, institutional, community or public open space projects under the "single site, multiple use" principle.
