The government-subsidized general outpatient service at the Chinese Medicine Hospital has increased the number of quotas by 30 percent and will continue to adjust allocations in line with clinical needs, according to Hospital Chief Executive Bian Zhaoxiang.
Speaking on a television program today, Bian emphasized that adjustments will continue to be made based on clinical needs, as the quotas for subsidized general consultations have consistently been fully booked since the hospital commenced its phased operations on December 11 (Thu).
Vincent Chung Chi-ho, Commissioner for Chinese Medicine Development of the Health Bureau, noted that the quota of Government-subsidized Chinese Medicine services at 18 Chinese Medicine Clinics cum Training and Research Centres across the city was earlier increased from 600,000 to 800,000.
He added that plans are in place to expand the number of clinics and enhance their facilities to provide residents with a more spacious and comfortable service environment.
Chung said this expansion also aims to strengthen training capabilities, transforming the clinics into comprehensive training bases for graduates and further supporting teaching and research efforts.
