Hong Kong track cycling star Ceci Lee Sze-wing roared to victory in the women’s omnium on Monday night, edging out her rivals by a single point to claim her third individual gold medal of the 15th National Games and deliver another triumphant moment for the city’s delegation.
After four grueling disciplines, the 24-year-old finished with 124 points—one ahead of Henan’s second-place rider—and sealed the title in dramatic fashion.
Under the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme, Lee’s individual gold will earn her a HK$750,000 cash bonus, part of a broader program that awards HK$750,000, HK$375,000, and HK$150,000 for individual gold, silver, and bronze medals, respectively, with double amounts for team events.
The Jockey Club has pledged over HK$500 million to support both the National Games and the National Games for Athletes with Disabilities, standing as the sole official partner for the Hong Kong zone across venues in Guangdong and Hong Kong.
