The incident took place at about 11pm on Un Chau Street near a minibus stop. Two men allegedly assaulted the victim, who was wearing an orange shirt, and tried to snatch his cross-body bag. The man fought back fiercely, shouting for help as he was dragged along the pavement. He sustained injuries to his head and limbs but managed to keep hold of the bag.

Police said today (Nov 11) that officers from the Sham Shui Po District Crime Squad launched an investigation and examined extensive CCTV footage, including images from the police’s “SmartView” surveillance network.
Investigations revealed that one suspect had changed his clothes after the attack, while both had taken different public transport routes in an attempt to evade pursuit.
Police later seized clothes believed to have been worn during the attack and arrested two non-ethnic Chinese teenagers, aged 15 and 16, in Sheung Shui and Cheung Sha Wan on Monday (Nov 10). Both claimed to be students.
The pair is being detained for further investigation.
