Two ground patrol personnel died during the cargo plane slide incident at Hong Kong International Airport early Monday. The Airport Authority identified the 41-year-old victim surnamed Ho as an aviation security supervisor, while the 30-year-old victim surnamed Chan served as aviation security team leader. Both had worked at Aviation Security Company Limited for over 12 and 7 years respectively, supervising and performing daily apron access control duties.

According to the Association for the Rights of Industrial Accident Victims, the 30-year-old victim surnamed Chan was his family's primary breadwinner, survived by his wife and young child. His wife was severely impacted upon receiving the tragic news and is expected to be unable to work for some time.
It is understood that after learning about her husband's accident, Chan's wife immediately went to the hospital accompanied by family members. She appeared tearful and emotionally distraught, requiring support from relatives. She later returned to her Ma On Shan residence, where continuous crying could be heard from the unit, creating a heartbreaking scene.
