Hong Kong welcomed approximately 5.03 million visitors between August 1 and 30 this year, according to data from the Immigration Department.

This marks a notable 16 percent increase compared to around 4.33 million visitors during the same period last year.
Among the visitors, mainland travelers accounted for about 4.12 million, reflecting a 16 percent rise from approximately 3.56 million in 2024.
Additionally, residents are increasingly traveling abroad, with over 10 million departures recorded for the same period.
It represents an increase of nearly 12 percent compared to around 8.96 million in August of the previous year.
