The starting pistol is set to fire for the first batch of ticket sales to the 15th National Games and the accompanying National Games for Persons with Disabilities. Sales will commence this Thursday at 10am through official channels.
The historic multi-sport event, jointly hosted by Hong Kong, Guangdong, and Macau, will offer tickets via its official ticketing website, a dedicated WeChat mini-program, and designated physical sales points.
All attendees must complete a real-name registration process on the official ticketing platform before they can make any purchases.
Authorized online sales for subsequent event phases will begin on August 31 at 10am. Furthermore, on-site ticket booths at event venues will open for sales two days before each competition is scheduled to take place. To enhance the experience for visitors, travel agencies will also offer a variety of tailored travel packages.
This initial ticket release will cover events hosted in several cities, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shantou, Meizhou, Huizhou, Zhaoqing, Yunfu, and Hong Kong.
The available events feature a wide range of sports such as football (U16 and U18), gymnastics, women's handball, modern pentathlon, taekwondo, men's water polo, shooting, BMX freestyle cycling, U22 basketball, hockey, rugby sevens, and beach volleyball.
Tickets for taekwondo events at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities will also be included.
Reports indicate that approximately 700,000 tickets will be made available to the public, with more tickets to be released in phases according to the final competition schedules.
The ticket design itself is a notable feature, incorporating a unique three-color gradient that reflects the three host regions. The tickets are adorned with illustrations of iconic venues, symbolizing the cultural integration of the Greater Bay Area and the unifying spirit of athletics.
In a first for this mega event, each host city will have its own dedicated ticket design, with more designs scheduled to be unveiled soon.
