The HKJC said the draw will carry a record-high snowball of HK$150 million and the First Division Prize Fund is estimated to reach HK$188 million for a single HK$10 winning unit.
It will be the largest-ever Chinese New Year Snowball in the history of the Mark Six, and a record-high dividend payout for a single HK$10 winning unit.
The Jockey Club said there has been a total of 18 occasions from 2014 where the actual first prize jackpot for the Mark Six draw has exceeded HK$100 million.
Among these 18 draws, the numbers 23, 30, and 32 have each been drawn 5 times. However, out of these occurrences, the number 23 has been drawn as the special number twice, and 32 has been the special number once. Only the number 30 has been drawn as the winning number for the first prize in all 5 draws.
Meanwhile, the number 15 was the most frequently drawn number in the 22 Mark Six draws at the start of the Chinese New Year since 2002, which has been drawn seven times.
Mark Six tickets for the Chinese New Year Snowball draw are on sale up until 9.15 pm on February 2, the day of the draw.
