The opening this Thursday is accompanied by a promotional offer from MC - all tickets to 2D movies for adults are priced at HKD$60, with a discounted price for students, senior citizens, and children of HK$40 per ticket.
MCL also reminded moviegoers of their recent launch of the MCL MAX membership system, offering members a 10 percent discount on regular adult tickets for 2D movies, bringing prices down to HK$54 per ticket.
The acquisition of the cinema by MCL will make the cinema company the largest in Hong Kong, operating 14 cinemas in total. The new cinema contains three separate cinema halls each equipped with 4K Laser projectors.
UA Cinemas closed on March 8, 2021 as a result of financial pressure from the coronavirus pandemic. Many UA cinemas still remain without owners.
