Chu Chow-wai, the wife of the chairman of CC Land (1224), Cheung Chung-kiu, bought a 2,080-sq-ft unit at Central Peak Alpex I in the Mid Levels for HK$163.8 million. With a parking space, the property price is HK$78,750 per square foot.
Mainland philanthropist Qian Fenglei meanwhile bought two flats at The Pavilia Farm in Tai Wai for HK$25.8 million. Both units have an area of 663 sq ft, with a three-bedroom partition. The units' prices are HK$21,288 and HK$21,716 per sq ft.
In another luxury property deal, the owner of a 3,860-sq-ft house at Botanica Bay on Lantau Island lost HK$8.4 million in book value after it was sold for HK$100 million.
The saleable area was 4,711 sq ft and the price was HK$ 21,227 per sq ft. The owner had purchased the independent house for HK$107.4 million in 2016 and paid HK$1 million more for the parking space.
And a 255-square-foot home at Amoy Garden in Kowloon Bay was sold for HK$4.7 million after a price cut of HK$500,000.
Meanwhile, Nan Fung Group will open sales of 49 units at LP6 in Lohas Park soon. The group said the project has sold 97.9 percent of the total units. With an average price of HK$16,267 per sq ft, the company has cashed in HK$19.26 billion. It would be selling the remaining units through price lists and tenders.
The developer is waiting for pre-sale consent approval for LP10 in Lohas Park and expects to open sales next year.
In other news, Elaine Liu Yuk-ling, the new chairman of the Estate Agents Authority, said that 26 percent of the public showed their distrust of the integrity of real-estate agents. However, respondents' overall impression of real-estate agents has improved compared to 10 years ago, up from 35 percent in 2010 to 47 percent this year.
