South Korean singer and television personality Kim Jong-kook has made headlines with his wedding announcement– dispelling years of rumors concerning his bachelor status.
During the filming of the popular variety show "Running Man," the 49-year-old star dropped the bombshell and later confirmed his wedding plans through a handwritten letter posted on his official fan forum.
“I am getting married,” Kim wrote, sharing that he never expected to find his lifelong partner before the release of his 30th anniversary commemorative album. However, the identity of the bride has not yet been disclosed.
Private wedding plans
Reports indicate that Kim's wedding will take place at a private venue in Seoul, attended only by family and close friends, ensuring privacy for the couple.
Coinciding with his 30th anniversary in the industry, his management company stated that this announcement marks a significant new chapter in his career, hoping fans will send warm wishes to the newlyweds.
A passionate fitness enthusiast
Kim first debuted as a member of the group Turbo and has since established himself in the entertainment industry through various variety shows, including "Running Man."
Known for his obsessive cleanliness and passion for fitness, he has captivated audiences with his engaging personality.
Past rumors with Yoon Eun-hye
With a long career in the industry, Kim has often been the subject of speculation regarding his romantic life, where he was previously linked to singer and actress Yoon Eun-hye after their collaboration on the show "X-Man" in 2005, but neither party confirmed the relationship.
Following years of keeping his personal life private, his recent announcement has sparked significant interest among fans.
In fact, rumors of Kim's potential marriage began circulating after he purchased a luxurious apartment in Gangnam, Seoul, for 6.3 billion won (approximately HK$29.36 million) in May.
