There's an interview with artiste-turned-education expert Agnes Chan Mei-ling in the latest issue of Eastweek magazine.
Chan has achieved success in many aspects of her life, from a singing career to her family, and they are admirable enough. Even more remarkable is that many members of her family are just as outstanding.
Elder sister Helen Chan Hei-ling is a medical doctor who founded Vita Green Health products while her husband, Tse Tak-fu, is a renowned cardiologist.
Eastweek talked to Helen earlier about her medical career and how she was a pioneer in Chinese medicine health supplements. She has a lot of insights to offer in medicine, health care and business.
The sisters are close. Many years ago, when Agnes was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer, Helen immediately got in touch with her oncologist. As there had to be follow-up treatment, she let Agnes receive it in Japan.
Vita Green has marketed products for children, and Agnes is the brand ambassador.
Having a PhD in education and with all three sons as Stanford University graduates makes Agnes a very authoritative brand representative.
When asked about the collaboration, Helen said with pride that her younger sister rarely appeared in advertisements. So when she agreed to take on the brand ambassador's job, there wasn't really any need to look for anyone else.
