The Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) plans to open eight selected venues for commercial events and private functions and is inviting interested parties to submit expressions of interest (EOI).
The venues involved include designated areas of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Chater Garden, Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park, Kai Tak Station Square, Kwun Tong Promenade, Sha Tin Park, Hong Kong Museum of Art, and Oil Street Art Space.
A diverse range of events can be hosted, including promotional events, corporate events, fan meet-and-greet sessions or signing, music performances, birthday celebrations, as well as exclusive curator-led exhibition tours at the museum venue for high-end clients.
The LCSD intends to engage professional agencies by granting licenses to provide event organization and advertising services at these venues.
These agencies will leverage their market knowledge and expertise to promote the venues to suitable target clients while offering technical support and client management services.
In addition, 16 LCSD venues or facilities will be made available for commercial advertising, enabling brands to reach diverse public audiences and enhance brand awareness.
Advertisements may be placed on exterior walls, outdoor lampposts, interior walls of performance venues or halls, audience area staircases, seat covers, pillars, columns, walls near entrances and exits, as well as in event brochures.
The LCSD is now inviting EOI submissions for these services. Feedback and information gathered through the EOI process will assist the department in finalizing service details and determining the way forward.
The EOI documents are available on the LCSD website, and interested parties must submit their expressions of interest by December 16.
The authorities will also conduct a briefing session at 1.30 am next Thursday (Nov 27).
